See you guys tomorrow!
Incoming!
HI FRESHIES!
It is just 3 days to the start of orientation! It is happening on the 24th of July and it starts right after dinner at 7 PM! Aren’t you excited? We know we are!
Do come for matric fair (also on the 24th of July, 10 am - 4 pm) to collect your goodie bags and check in! The amazing flag team has snagged a good number of sponsors and other vendors, so come down and unleash the shopaholic in you.
Also do not worry about the NUS matriculation as well! We have arranged a few seniors to bring you down when necessary, so don’t worry and DO COME DOWN FOR ORIENTATION. ( : We guarantee you that you’ll make friends and will definitely start school with a bang!
See you on the 24th!
Don’t Panic.
Hi everyone!
We’ve been getting a lot of messages from panicking freshies saying that they have not received any confirmation letter form the hall office about their acceptance into Eusoff. We understand that it may be unnerving. However, there has been an oversight on the part of the Office of Student Affairs. As such, Eusoff Hall office only received the list of local freshmen two days ago. You all should be receiving your letters very soon, so do not panic! In the meantime, we are emailing each and every one of you the welcome letter and packing list, along with some other information. So please do check your emails for this and let us know if you do not receive it soon.
Another issue that has been raised is that there are faculty orientation talks on the 27th and 28th of July, which overlap with our hall orientation camp. As for this, we are not discouraging you from attending the talks. However, we feel that the same information can be found out by simply talking to seniors or even as you go through your first semester in NUS. In fact, our orientation will contain an interaction session with seniors from the different faculties. These seniors will talk to you in detail based on their experience in each faculty. But if you guys really want to attend the faculty orientation talks, of course we will not stop you
Furthermore, we are having a session during orientation where we teach you how to bid. This is something you definitely should not miss, because bidding is a confusing and frustrating experience for most freshmen, and our awesome simulation will make it much easier for you to understand how to bid as well as pick up useful tips and strategies from the helpful seniors.
So we hope you’ll consider your options carefully, since there are so many things going on at the same time!
We’ve got the power!
…until 9am Saturday, 18th July 2009.
There’s going to be some maintenance carried out on the High Tension and Low Tension electrical Main Switchboards. We’re told that this maintenance is necessary for “optimal performance, service availability, and compliance to electrical safety.” But don’t worry, the power will be back by 3pm the same day.
Run baby, RUN.

Running Before Dawn

All VERY EXCITED TO RUN

YESSSSS, THE RAGGERS CONQUERED!

The Gorgeous Flaggers

WE DID IT TOGETHER!
Today, the EHOCers woke up very early this morning to go for a run. Jerryl, our safety officer, led us in the warm ups and boy was he entertaining! Our spirits were high as we started and we were really in for a surprise. Imagine just running without knowing the end and only knowing that the people leading the run (Allan and Wayne) were the world fittest people and could have gone on running forever.
The journey started off easy but the challenge was yet to come. Every EHOCer pushed on and encouraged each other throughout. The biggest challenge was right at the end. We had to scale an almost 90 degree upward slope and it was painful! The upward climb brought pain and tears to our eyes but joy to Allan and Wayne. When we finally reached the peak, we were rewarded with a beautiful sight. We stared out into horizon and were all secretly glad that the run was over. We were presented with our t-shirt, name tags and were formally welcomed into the family.
Just like our run, EHOC starts off easy. And as we go on, the journey becomes increasingly arduous. We push on nonetheless, encouraging and spurring each other on. We have our ups and downs. We cry, we laugh, we smile, we frown.
The hardest part is always the end and I know that together we will get there. EUSOFF TO THE FORE. ( : KEEP GOING GUYS!
HELP! I AM CONFUSED.
Hi Freshies!
Our sources tell me that many of you are confused, so we’ve created a FAQ here specially for you!
Please download the Freshmen Orientation Guide which is on the left bar for more information. Also refer to the left bar for the important dates! (:
Q. What and when is the Eusoff Hall Matric Fair?
A. Matric fair is proudly organized by the Flag team. It is on the 24th of July (FRIDAY) and it starts from 10 am - 4 pm. There will be freebies as well as many interesting booths for you to look at. During matric fair, the flaggers and programmers will be showing you around Eusoff Hall and can help you with bringing your stuff to your room. The seniors will also be available for you to clarify your queries! ( : It is going to be awesome experience and you can get things that you need for school!
Q. I am a local freshman, when should I come to collect my keys and move in?
A. For local freshmen, you can collect your keys when you come for Matric Fair! Ideally you should move in on the 24th of July itself. The flag team will be providing room cleaning services ($15 for Single Room & $18 for Double room). From our experiences, cleaning your room is a huge hassle so please support the flag team and save yourselves from the horrors of cleaning your room.
Q. When is orientation?
A. Orientation is for both local and international freshmen! It starts on the 24th of July (Friday). Orientation is from the 24th of July (Friday) to 29th of July (Wed). Please gather at the Function Hall at 6.30 PM on Friday. Have your dinner before coming!
Q. How do I register for orientation?
A. You don’t have to register for orientation beforehand. JUST COME on the 24th! ( :
Q. How do I know whether I have gotten into Eusoff?
A. You will have gotten the email regarding hall acceptance. If you have accepted our offer, congratulations you are part of Eusoff!

A. BRING YOURSELF! ( : Please refer to the link: INFORMATION, what to bring! (PLEASE CLICK).
